MedVision's 2014 Utilization eHealth Survey for Maryland
MedVision will be surveying 1,000 healthcare professionals in Maryland to analyze the progression of telemedicine/ telehealth services for 2014.
Maryland’s legislature recently enacted a revolutionary approach to setting and capitating Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement rates. Although Maryland’s historic per-capita cost for healthcare has remained 3% or lower than the national average, the new program is designed to further slow the growth in healthcare expenditures.
The Maryland Cost Control Commission believes that eHealth services (i.e., TeleHealth/TeleMedicine)

· Expanded geographic reach
· Reduced per-capita health care expenditures
