CSR Infrastructure Projects of MALCO Energy Limited

SALEM, India - March 8, 2014 - PRLog -- MALCO Energy Limited, Mettur Dam, a subsidiary of Sesa Sterlite Limited (A Vedanta Company) has inaugurated newly constructed Water Tanks and Community Toilet Block for Men at PN Patty Panchayat on 25.02.2014. MALCO Energy has contributed one third of project cost Rs. 5 Lakhs under self-sufficiency scheme of State Govt. of Tamil Nadu. The water tank will supply drinking water to the five blocks of the PN Patty Panchayat.

The company’s CSR activity in the past has also aimed at partnering with public schemes in developing infrastructure in the surrounding villages around it. Stepping in this direction, MALCO Energy has already partnered with District Administration through Public Private Partnership Schemes for the past six years.

The newly constructed Water Tanks and Community Toilet Block for Men was inaugurated by Mr C Murugeswaran, Director - MALCO Energy Limited, Dr Vikas Goswami, Group CSR Head - Vedanta Group and Mr P Ponnusamy, Chairman - PN Patty Panchayat. Mr R Kandasamy, Head HR and PN Patty Panchayat Ward Members were present on the occasion.
