“MORE believes it is best to teach people to fish so they can support themselves for a lifetime and maybe learn how to buy the lake.” says Alandas Dobbins, Director of MORE. “We are working diligently every day to be a resource to help create strong and viable businesses in Memphis. There needs to be a greater number of participation of women and minorities in procurement opportunities. Through education, awareness, and resources, we are making Memphis a city of choice.”
This event is far more than your standard vendor fair as we will break down what businesses need most to become established growing and profitable enterprises by hosting two track seminars, that will be offered all day will teach material the people attending can actually take home and work and actually use.
There will be two types of classes that will be taking place throughout the entire day, and these classes will be focusing on teaching businesses about doing business with the federal and local government. In addition, there will be other classes that will hit hard on what small business need to know outside of winning contracts, for instance, one of the classes will be focusing on teaching businesses how to Navigate the Federal Health Insurance Marketplace. At this event, we have put together a program that really zooms in on areas of needed improvement among small businesses, and to attend the event and reap all of the benefits for free, is the icing on the cake.
