1. Improved usability
Improved accuracy with Months of Supply report – The Months of Supply report is a critical indicator of market absorption. It doesn’t always take massive movements in months of supply to indicate whether a geographic region and/or product type or price point is improving or worsening. For builders trying to identify even small changes in the market, accurate months of supply calculations help builders locate inventory opportunity. NHMS recently enhanced how months of supply is calculated and displayed by rounding calculations to the nearest tenth. This higher level of accuracy supports better analysis and planning.
2. Increased efficiency
Adjust Default Geography selection option – Geography settings allow users to select what geographic region they want to analyze, whether that is zip code, school district, etc. Previously, Kaleidoscope supported setting geographies in one of two ways. First, target geographies could be set globally, as the default setting, in the user’s profile. All Kaleidoscope reports would reflect the target geography. Second, users could change the geography setting at the individual report level. Doing so only affected that particular report when it was run in that one instance, but the default geography remained the same.
