Hypnosis for Lupus – Free Group Hypnosis Session – 25^th March 2014

Steve Woods, Director at Experiential Hypnosis Ltd. Will be holding a free group Hypnosis Session for the Hibbs Lupus Trust Charity.

The session, on 25^th March at 6.30pm until 7.30pm will focus on the coping methods for the pain, stress and anxieties associated with Lupus.

From the Hibbs Lupus Trust website: ‘Lupus is an autoimmune condition which means that it is caused by problems with the immune system. Rather than just fighting viruses, bacteria and infection by producing antibodies, your body starts to attack and destroy healthy cells, tissues and organs.

As with other more common autoimmune conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis and coeliacs disease, it is thought that a combination of genetic and environmental factors are responsible for triggering the onset of Lupus in certain people.

It is believed that over 50,000 people throughout the UK suffer with Lupus.’

In this first of what is planned to be regular monthly sessions Steve will spend time introducing people to hypnosis and achieving a level of relaxation and focus  to bring about changes in the way we cope with the often debilitating symptoms of Lupus.

Steve commented “We held a short group session at a recent Hibbs Lupus Support Group Meeting at the hospital and it was well received with a number of people wanting to do more. I am really proud to be supporting the charity with this work and it’s a great opportunity to show how powerful Hypnosis is when it comes to not only pain relief but also the everyday stress and anxiety that surrounds living with Lupus.”
