Game Designer, Patrick Scott, Launches A New Game Concept On Kickstarter

SAN DIEGO - March 3, 2014 - PRLog -- Patrick Scott, a game designer known for his innovative board and card game designs, announces the release of a new board game, King’s Favor - A Game of Courtly Intrigue.

Four to twelve players compete as nobles in a competing royal house building influence and power to win the rule of the kingdom. King’s Favor plays fast, yet every game is different through a rich selection of characters and specifically with the political strategy brought by each player.

The design team placed the game in a world inspired by the royal courts of Renaissance Europe to appeal to the lovers of story and art. Classical costumes for each player’s role card let a player imagine themselves in the heart of their role.

“My goal was to develop a game set in the worlds of modern aristocratic fiction similar to George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire, and HBO’s Game of Thrones,” commented Patrick Scott. “I strove to create large-group play, multiple victory conditions, and light social deduction gameplay.”

King’s Favor just launched on Kickstarter www.kickstarter.com/projects/1098214072/kings-favor-a-game-of-courtly-intrigue  where anyone may download a simple print and play version. Pledge levels include full color versions, the complete boxed game ready for parties, family gatherings, and collectors as well as other stretch and bonus levels. The campaign rewards also include a unique cocktail guide to set the stage for a night of fun game play.

Patrick Scott started game design as a young boy when he was intrigued with multi-player strategy games based on card collections. After completing his degree in literature he combined his two interests to form Pennysoldiers Games where he and his team of artists and programmers produce mobile and multiplayer board games.
