HaLev Israel Brings Over 500 to AIPAC Policy Conference Welcome Party

WASHINGTON - March 3, 2014 - PRLog -- Over 500 young professionals gathered at a nightclub in Washington, DC at the official welcome party to kick­off AIPAC’s 2014 Policy Conference. The event presented by HaLev Israel, a new organization providing scholarships to pro­Israel activists, was held on March 1 at Capitale and raised over $5,000 to bring participants to their first ever AIPAC Policy Conference, a potential life­changing experience.

Opening remarks at the event were given by special guest, Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations, Ron Prosor, who ushered in the night of networking and dancing by expressing his sincere gratitude to the number of young, vibrant and passionate leaders who came together from across the US in support of Israel. Prosor further thanked everyone for the important work they are doing every day when they speak up about Israel.

HaLev founder and president David Ochs said, “HaLev’s dream to one day provide full scholarships to people from all over the world to attend this incredibly important event here in D.C. is now one step closer. The HaLev Board is all volunteers and, last night, they saw all of their hard work and planning pay off tremendously.”

HaLev was founded in Winter 2014 and was already able to send six scholars to attend the 2014 conference in hopes of forging future leaders in pro­Israel advocacy throughout the world. The 2014 scholars came from as far away as Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to attend the DC conference, where they have a chance to see and hear from world leaders and diplomats and network with the 14,000 other pro­Israel attendees.

"It was so great to see so many pro­Israel activists together, supporting HaLev's vision of bringing people to their first Policy Conference. I know they will be impacted for the rest of their lives,” said Max Bluestein, a member of HaLev Israel’s Executive Board.

The event was also supported by AIPAC, Masa Israel Journey, & Starburst Communications.
