MMA announces February Cadets of the Month

HARLINGEN, Texas - March 3, 2014 - PRLog -- Marine Military Academy (MMA) proudly announces the Cadets of the Month for February 2014. The cadets who receive this esteemed award are nominated by their drill instructor for their exemplary attitude, conduct, academic performance and involvement at MMA. In addition to the recognition they received on March 3, these young men were treated to a special dinner that same evening hosted by the MMA superintendent and his wife.

The Cadets of the Month for February 2014 are: junior Bryce Vallot of Erath, La., for Alpha Company; sophomore Michael Durak of Mission, Texas, for Delta Company; sophomore Carlos Inman of Seabrook, Texas, for Echo Company;sophomore Chukwuemeka Atuma of Abuja, Nigeria, for Fox Company; post-graduate David Ige of Abuja, Nigeria, for Golf Company; senior Kevin Casey-Sawyer of San Diego for Leatherneck Band; and junior Niko Bakanec of Salem, Wis., for Silent Drill Team.

MMA is a college-preparatory boarding school for young men in grades 8-12 with an optional post-graduate year. Since 1965, MMA is the only private school in the world based on the traditions and values of the U.S. Marine Corps. Located in Harlingen, Texas, MMA has been home to thousands of sons from across the world and is quarters to the historic Iwo Jima Monument.
