3D ProActive Managed Services Enhancement Announced
3D Corporation gives ProActive Gold and Platinum Service level Clients a Power-up
In the announcement the President of 3D, David Koshinz, noted that “we are always innovating to enhance our services and to stay in front of the latest technology challenges, so our clients don’t have to.” He went on to say that “This new release is an example of how we constantly work to ensure that our managed services platform remains a top-of-class, versatile, and intuitive service for our customers.”
With this enhancement, the company’s ProActive Gold and Platinum services will now automatically check auditing configurations to ensure proper data capturing is occurring for common security issues, such as file access, account creation, directory access, policy changes, and more. This enhancement ensures that IT system audits are correctly configured and are following best practices. In the event of a security issue, ProActive can quickly and accurately determine what events have happened, when they happened, and by what user account, leading to far quicker and far less expensive recovery if and when a disaster strikes.
According to Mr. Koshinz, these enhancements were all developed internally by the engineers of 3D Corporation. He indicated that over the past few months, they have been concentrating on the issues revolving around automating and improving ProActive’s already robust ability to gather and analyze business critical IT security information.
John Jaworski, the CFO for 3D Corporation said “that as the engineering team looked at the issues customers were facing, they saw an increasing need for their managed services platform to be able to do more and provide even greater granular auditing and data analysis capabilities.”
Mike McGlothern, Lead Technology Manager at 3D, added that “being able to track down the details of adverse or suspicious events on your system adds a level of certainty and security that businesses need even more today.” He noted that “this enables us to find better data more quickly for our clients when there is a concern or issue that arises for them.”
Some of the key changes in this update:
· Additional information capture and tracking (in case of a security event)
· Logs all file deletion for network shares
· File-share auditing
· Logs all unauthorized logins and attempted logins (whether successful or not)
· Additional logging of unauthorized remote access attempts
· Additional logging of changes to security configurations and user accounts
