A Dawg's Life Just Got Better!

LOS ANGELES - Feb. 28, 2014 - PRLog -- LOS ANGELES, CALIF. (February 26, 2014) – A “dawg” named Jamal wants his story told and has enlisted the Kickstarter community to help tell it!    Dawg Dayz is an animated web series that explores the life, mind and adventures of Jamal as he struggles to make it big as a comedian in Hollywood while slinging hotdogs at a food truck to pay the bills.  The show unfolds in front of the backdrop of Los Angeles and provides a gritty, relevant and comedic exploration into the challenges of moving to the City of Angels to find success.  The series pays homage to animation greats like Ralph Bakshi while incorporating nuances of 21^st century society and life in Los Angeles.

Dawg Dayz is a collaboration between KlipKulture Entertainment and EMMY-nominated Pixel Pirate studios.  “Being born and raised in Los Angeles, this series is a tribute to the many Jamals that I have known over the years and a love letter to my favorite city in the world, Los Angeles, the other lead character in the show,” said Jason Harvey, the show’s creator.  “I feel very fortunate to have teamed up with the talented Pixel Pirate Studios to bring Jamal’s story to life” added Jason.

“We are thrilled to join forces with KlipKulture Entertainment on this series as we maneuver Jamal through trials and tribulations as he struggles to make it big.  Jamal is a great character and the project is a blast to work on,” said Saxton Moore, lead animator at Pixel Pirate Studios.  “The team has put a lot of work into developing Jamal and the other cast of characters in Dawg Dayz.  We all feel that the show will find an immediate audience that loves each character as much as we do and we are reaching out to Kickstarter to help us bring this unique series to life.”, continued Saxton.

Kickstarter.com is a website offering a crowd-oriented approach for businesses to raise funds from “backers” who would like to play a role in the development process of the project.  If a project does not raise its financial goal by the deadline set for the project, all donations are refunded.  With the help of this rewards-based platform, many creative ideas have come to life.  With your help, the Dawg Dayz production team hopes to raise enough money through its Kickstarter campaign to create an entire season of this special animated web series.
