Micronics Names Rick Weiler President And Ceo

Founder Barry Hibble Will Continue to Serve on the Board of Directors and Act as an Advisor to the Company

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. - Feb. 28, 2014 - PRLog -- Portsmouth, NH – September 1, 2013 – Micronics Inc., a global provider of aftermarket filtration products and OEM custom filter presses, announced today that Rick Weiler has been appointed president and chief executive officer of the company. Weiler assumes this position from Barry Hibble, Micronics founder, who will retire from the day-to-day management of the business, but remains on the board of directors and will act as an advisor to the company.

Prior to joining Micronics, Weiler served as president and chief executive officer at Atlas Material Testing, the world’s leading provider of weathering test instruments. Under Weiler’s leadership, Atlas was acquired by AMETEK, a publicly traded company, and he played an instrumental role in the successful integration of the two companies. Prior to that, Weiler was with PerkinElmer Optoelectronics where he was the general manager of specialty and commercial lighting and vice president of global sales and marketing.  Weiler began his career with United Technologies and Allied Signal in engineering and operations. Weiler holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Dartmouth College’s Thayer School of Engineering and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
