Mentoring Mamas™ a peer-to-peer mentoring program for mompreneurs

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Feb. 28, 2014 - PRLog -- Introducing Mentoring Mamas™ a peer-to-peer mentoring program for mompreneurs with children under the age of five.

Jacksonville, FL United States, 01/21/2014 – A mentor encourages and inspires individuals of all ages at various stages in their lives. Knowing first hand the positive impact a mentor has on someone’s life, Felicia Wright a mom, social entrepreneur and military spouse launches Mentoring Mamas™. The peer-to-peer mentoring program is designed to support mompreneurs in addressing the unique issues they face in raising a family while running a business.

According to the 2013 State of Women-Owned Businesses report, there are an
estimated 8.6 million women-owned businesses in the United States. Florida ranks number 4 out of the top 10 states that have the highest number of womenowned businesses with approximately 572,900 women-owned firms. Among businesses that operate out of the owner’s home, 72% are operated by women (2012 Global Entrepreneurship Monitor report). “Having the support of likeminded individuals who have been through similar experiences is vital in helping entrepreneurs reach our goals,” said Mrs. Wright.

We are excited to bring this type of grass roots program to the Jacksonville community.During this time, participants will gain personal and professional support,build relationships, and obtain valuable information from business experts. There are a limited number of business spots available. Note: Although the program is geared towards moms with children under the age of five, all mompreneurs and children are welcome. Felicia is a US Navy spouse and mom to a little girl. She is the owner of Mygani
Design Studio, a brand consulting firm that helps businesses create a professional presence through brand development and marketing strategies. She has over fifteen years of experience in the creative marketing industry and enjoys mentoring other entrepreneurs. In addition to raising a family and running a business, she donates her time and services to several non-profit organizations throughout Northeast Florida.
