Track & Field Star Launches Fundraising Campaign to Raise Funds for Pediatric Cancer

ATLANTA - Feb. 26, 2014 - PRLog -- American Track and Field Athlete and Under Armour Women’s Fitness Model, Monica Hargrove, will support the14th Annual Kids Walk for Kids with Cancer in NYC.  The event will take place on Saturday May 10, 2014 in Mineral Springs, Central Park. Kids Walk for Kids with Cancer is an upbeat, family friendly walkathon that supports pediatric cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC. Currently, there are 5 walks across the country. This partnership will be in collaboration with the Monica Hargrove’s "Strength IS Beauty" Project.  This initiative encourages and motivates strong women from all backgrounds and cultures, especially the female athlete, to embrace the idea that they are beautiful inside and out.

Beginning in February, and continuing throughout the year, Monica Hargrove’s awareness campaign will feature:
» “Strength IS Beauty” Tee shirts.
» Strength IS Beauty “Pop Up events”
» Strength IS Beauty caps for children and female athletes
» Autographed memorabilia, water bottles, wrist bands, etc.

Strength IS Beauty merchandise will be autographed and sold on Monica Hargove's website, (www.Monica-Hargrove.com) and on-site at various events throughout the campaign. A portion of the proceeds from the sales during the months of March, April, and May, will benefit Kids Walk for Kids with Cancer.

Monica Hargrove and her team will also be supporting Kids Walk for Kids this year by providing photographers, fashion stylists and makeup artists the opportunity to collaborate and produce new images for the “Strength IS Beauty” Campaign with all net proceeds from the sale of the photos going to Kids Walk for Kids with Cancer.
