JACKSON, Miss. - Feb. 24, 2014 - PRLog -- Paul Moak Subaru in Jackson, MS announces the top-tier ranking of the Subaru brand in the 2014 Consumer Reports’ annual Car-Brand Perception Study, standing out as a leading brand in consumers’ minds.  Subaru is a growing brand in the Southeastern region of the US, and this report proves consumers are catching on to the many award-winning attributes of the brand.  In this latest study, Subaru moved up two spots in brand perception from 2012 and 2013.  See our entire Subaru lineup by going to our website,

"Consumers are influenced by word of mouth, marketing and hands-on experience," Jeff Bartlett, Consumer Reports deputy automotive editor, said in a statement. "Perception can be a trailing indicator, reflecting years of good or bad performance in a category, and it can also be influenced by headlines in the media."
The 2014 Car-Brand Perception Survey conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center is based on the results from a December survey of 1,578 vehicle owners in which the owners were asked to rank brand attributes.  Overall scores are an aggregate, reflecting a brand’s total perception level across seven categories: quality, safety, performance, value, fuel economy, design/style, and technology/innovation. Combining those factors gives the total brand-perception score.
In addition to its overall high brand perception, Subaru particularly stood out in the area of safety.  The study stated, “The real news this year is the ascension of Subaru. This modest-scale automaker has made big news over the last year with its “good” crash-test performance, among other accomplishments. All its models, except for the aged Tribeca, have earned coveted Top Safety Pick+ status from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).”
This comes as no surprise to the team at Paul Moak Subaru located in Jackson, MS.  As the state’s exclusive Subaru dealer, Paul Moak Subaru experienced unprecedented sales growth in a record-breaking 2013.  “Subaru continues to garner accolades from notable industry publications and organizations,” says Paul Moak Subaru General Sales Manager Jerry Warfield.  He noted that the redesigned 2014 Subaru Forester is the current Motor Trend Sport/Utility of the Year , and that Subaru is the first and only manufacturer to win this category three times.  Warfield states, “The combination of great press and record-breaking sales figures means Subaru is gaining traction throughout Mississippi and our neighboring states.  All of us at Paul Moak Subaru are honored to be a part of this exciting time in the brand’s history.”
