Brooklyn Tankard, Break-Out Star of Thicker Than Water, Makes Official Statement About Recent Arrest

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Feb. 21, 2014 - PRLog -- [Nashville, TN] February 21, 2014 – Brooklyn has issued a statement to all of her fans and wants to set the record straight about the details of her recent arrest:

Thanks to all my fans that have been supportive of my daughter and I during this time. I want to reassure you that my daughter Diamond and I are doing very well and she is excelling in school. I was stopped on Feb 16^th after leaving Sunday morning church service and spending time with my family. After a background search, I was informed that I had a warrant issued in 2013 for failure to show up to truancy court. I was completely unaware of this court date and was shocked to learn that I had a warrant. If I had been aware that my daughter’s attendance record was becoming a legal matter, I definitely would’ve taken care of it. My daughter missed some days of school due to being sick but they were unexcused because I never took her to the doctor to get a note. Instead I decided to stay home and nurture her to health with natural remedies, medicine, and love. Most experienced mothers have a basic instinct of how to cure their children when it comes to common illnesses. Diamond was also late on multiple occasions which I take responsibility for. As a single mother, entrepreneur, and reality star I have had to work on managing my time better to accommodate our busy schedule. Any time my daughter has missed school she was safe and loved under my care. I am always there for my daughter and would never do anything to neglect her. Like most moms, I don’t play about my daughter so don’t buy into embellishing statements in the media that obviously don’t consider that a CHILD is involved. The main thing is that if she is sick again, I will take her to the doctor to get a note. Period. I now realize that 3 tardies equals 1 absent which can quickly put me out of compliance.  I have gotten better with my time management and will continue to improve in that area. Now that I’m more aware of the school attendance procedures I’ll be sure to meet the tight guidelines and stay in compliance. Regardless of my celebrity I try to always stay grounded and just live normally. This experience has truly been a reminder that normal issues can easily be blown up.  My main priority is to protect my daughter who is the apple of my eye. This has been a learning experience that I will allow to make me better.
