Rohde & Schwarz and ASTRI to demonstrate conformance test solution
ASTRI has partnered with Fujian Sunnada Communication Co. Ltd. to provide a LTE small cell as the device under test. The demonstration shows the end-to-end 2x2 MIMO link quality measurements analyzed by a single measuring instrument.
The test setup from Rohde & Schwarz and ASTRI at Sunnada's booth includes an R&S RTO digital oscilloscope acquiring the 2x2 MIMO uplink and downlink signals froman end-to-end setup with Sunnada's LTE small cell. The uplink and downlink MIMO signalsare received and demodulated by the R&S RTO digital oscilloscope and analyzed on a personal computer using the R&S FS-K102PC EUTRA/LTE downlink MIMO software and R&S FS-K105PC EUTRA/LTE uplink TDD software.
The R&S RTO oscilloscope is well-suited for this application since it can acquire an up to 4x4 MIMO signal thanks to its four input channels. The front-ends of the R&S RTO have outstanding characteristics such as high input sensitivity and extremely low noise. The high dynamic range of the R&S RTO delivers signal analysis results comparable to those of a mid-range signal analyzer.
A leader in LTE and LTE-Advanced technology,ASTRI has been developing reference designs for TD-LTE and LTE FDD small cells since 2008 and has delivered market-ready reference designs to wireless infrastructure vendors such as Sunnada. ASTRI relies on Rohde & Schwarz test solutions for such development. For example, ASTRI has helped Sunnada to perform 3GPP base-station conformance tests on its LTE small cell with the aid of an R&S RTO oscilloscope and an R&S SMW200A vector signal generator.
Rohde & Schwarzand ASTRI will demonstrate the test solution live at the Sunnada booth (hall 6, booth 6G60) at the Mobile World Congress, which will be hosted at the new Fira Gran Via exhibition centre in Barcelona.
