PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Feb. 20, 2014 - PRLog -- Big Noise, the award-winning music firm founded in 1990 by Al Gomes and A. Michelle will celebrate its 24th anniversary this year.

In the past year, Al Gomes and A. Michelle's achievements included music icons The Beach Boys hiring Big Noise to run the band's successful publicity campaign that won them their first-ever Grammy Award for Best Historical Album for their box set 'The Smile Sessions.' In the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers' 50-year career, The Beach Boys had never won a Grammy Award from the voting members of The Recording Academy. That all changed on February 10, 2013 at the 55th annual awards ceremony when music history was finally made. The news sent ripples around the world. The New York Times declared, "The Drought is Over!"

Beach Boys founder Brian Wilson and box set producers Alan Boyd and Dennis Wolfe accepted their Grammy Awards with words of thanks to The Beach Boys, extended family, and Big Noise. Watch the acceptance speech ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzIvdZiLjV0 )

Al Gomes and A. Michelle also headed the publicity team for Gregory Porter, winning him his very first Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal Album for his CD 'Liquid Spirit.' He shared the win with engineer and mixer Jay Newland.

Al Gomes and A. Michelle also worked on promotion campaigns for Joe D'Ambrosio Management’s producer, engineer and mixer clients including Grammy Award nominees Tony Visconti (David Bowie), Frank Filipetti (Dionne Warwick, Motown the Musical), Jay Newland (Gregory Porter), Lawrence Manchester (Dionne Warwick), and Eric Robinson (Taylor Swift). Big Noise assisted in getting the word out about new jazz releases from Grammy Award nominee Geoffrey Keezer, Tom Wopat (‘The Dukes of Hazzard’), multi-Grammy Award winner Cheryl Bentyne (The Manhattan Transfer), and Mark Winkler.

Other accomplishments include:

Big Noise oversaw the release of recording artist Megan Nicole's debut single 'B-e-a-utiful' which helped lead to her being signed to Interscope Records. Al and A. Michelle managed the entire project of the single (which had worldwide success) and the relaunch of Megan's official website.

Big Noise artist Brittaney Brannock won the fourth annual Grammy Foundation and MusiCares Teens Make Music Contest. She attended the 56th Annual Grammy Awards including a special backstage tour that takes place while artists rehearse for the live broadcast. Al and A. Michelle made the initial introduction of Brittaney to The Recording Academy with the submission of her EP to The Grammy Awards.

Christian recording artist Ron C. Walters credited Al and A. Michelle's artistic direction, publicity work and music industry outreach with landing Ron his recording contract with TMJ Music Group / Grace Records. Ron's cover of Hall & Oates' 'I Can't Go For That' debuted on Billboard’s Hot Single Sales chart at #25. Big Noise has collaborated with Ron since 2006.

Also, under the artistic direction of Big Noise, several artists experienced their most acclaimed and best-selling CDs ever. In addition, Big Noise commemorated working for over 20 years with artists Suzanne Lord and Lester Hirsh.

2014 will prove to be another exciting year for the company. Many projects are planned including co-producing five-time Grammy Award winner and pop icon Dionne Warwick's newest single, and publicity for Beach Boy Blondie Chaplin's newest recording project, The Young Presidents.
