BBB Announces Winners of 2013 Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics

Better Business Bureau serving Eastern NC is pleased to announce the winners and finalists of its 2013 Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics.
 
March 31, 2014 - PRLog -- Better Business Bureau serving Eastern NC is pleased to announce the winners and finalists of its 2013 Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics. BBB Torch Awards were created to showcase ethical companies and charities in Eastern North Carolina that build trust, advertise honestly, tell the truth, remain transparent, and honor their promises. Spotlighting these companies and charities fits the BBB mission to be the leader in advancing marketplace trust.

BBB Torch Award entries were evaluated by an independent panel of judges comprised of volunteer business and community leaders in eastern North Carolina. The awards were presented at the Annual Meeting of BBB Accredited Businesses held on Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary.

BBB congratulates the following businesses who were selected as winners and finalists of the 2013 Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics:

Winner - Small Business Category

St. Paul Presbyterian Church Child Care Center, Louisburg

For more than 37 years, St. Paul Presbyterian Church Child Care Center has ministered to the needs of young children and their families by providing a safe environment to foster social, emotional, intellectual, physical, and spiritual growth and development. The organization has received numerous awards including the 2009 “Child Care Five Star Award” presented by Smart Start, as well as “The Franklin County Living Black Legend Award” for outstanding contributions to the Franklin County community.

Winner - Mid-Size Business Category

Triangle Auto Body (http://www.bbb.org/raleigh-durham/business-reviews/auto-b...), Durham

Founded in 1984 as a two-man operation, Triangle Auto Body began by dedicating themselves to providing a unique collision repair experience that was founded on integrity. The company, which now has more than 15 employees, is certified by several vehicle manufacturers and insurance companies, and is a Gold Class Collision Center through I-CAR, which is the leading industry standard for collision repair. Triangle Auto Body remains active in the community by sponsoring athletic teams at local schools.

Atlantic Tire & Service, a locally owned and operated business, was founded in 1998 in Cary. The company has since opened two additional locations in the Triangle and has more than 40 full-time employees. Atlantic Tire & Service was voted “Best Customer Service in Western Wake County” in 2006, 2011 and 2012 by the readers of the Cary News, and was honored with the Cary Chamber and Morrisville Chamber’s Small Business of the Year Award in recent years.
