Indiegogo Campaign for Next Generation Wall Switch Launched

LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. - Feb. 20, 2014 - PRLog -- The success of Autochron helped us go for the next generation wall switch solution. We are working on this product for couple of months now and finally, we're live at Indiegogo to raise funds to back our next generation home wall switch timer.

Money will be used to fund the new molds for this patented new product and produce the initial run of finished product.  We have selected a reputable contract factory in the Ningbo area of China.  Component sourcing has already been finalized with the LED screens coming from Japan and the computer chip from Taiwan.  Plastic housing and final assembly will be done in China.

We will have a high degree of success because the current model has been on the market for the past 4 years and is being successfully sold in national retailers such as Costco.com, HSN, QVC.com, Target.com, Homedepot.com and Lowe's. The current unit only works with the standard toggle (flip switch) model of wall switches.  Over 200,000 of the current unit have been sold in the US using its’ patented design.  Despite the fact that approximately 60% of US households have the standard toggle wall switches in their homes, SWE, Inc., the manufacturer and distributor, felt the need to update the current model to accommodate the rocker panel type that are sold in the US and more predominately in Canada.

The next generation of the wireless wall switch timer is ready to be released later this year.  As a result of the proven success of the current AutoChron® Wireless Wall Switch Timer, the new SwitchGenie model will be slimmer in design and will have a replaceable back plate which allows the user to modify the unit to fit on either a toggle wall switch or rocker panel wall switch!

The new SwitchGenie version  will use the same patented technology but will have an improved internal control panel; slimmer design to fit onto any standard single, double or triple switch plate.  This new version will have all of the current product features such as:
