PORTLAND, Ore. - Feb. 19, 2014 - PRLog -- Award-winning author Jane Kurtz is celebrating the release of her new book, Anna Was Here, with a blog tour February 23-28, 2014. Blog tours allow authors/illustrators, students, educators and book lovers to connect “virtually” through interviews on websites, podcasts, blog sites and on-line radio shows.

Kurtz says, “It’s ironic that reviewers have used the word ‘hilarious’ to describe a book about a girl who is struggling with the big question of why bad things happen to good kids.  But anyone who has lived through a natural disaster—as I have—knows that any answers we have for such things are pretty puny.  Humor is one thing that gets us through. And something else that gets us through huge and small hard times is a good book!”

About Anna Was Here
Ten-year-old Anna Nickel is facing disaster! Her father has decided to move the family back to Oakwood, Kansas, to help with a church there. New friends, new school, a new community, and a family of strangers await, and what is even worse, it is all smack-dab in the middle of Tornado Alley. This beautifully written novel introduces a family who takes God's teachings to heart while finding many occasions to laugh along the way, and an irrepressible and wholesome ten-year-old who, with a little help from Midnight H. (her cat), takes control of her destiny.
