Psychedelic Rock Band "Nacosta" Embark on National Tour

Feb. 18, 2014 - PRLog -- Los Angeles based psychedelic-rock band Nacosta prepare to release their debut full-length album, “Under the Half Moon”. The album’s first single, “Aberlina” brought the band into the indie music spotlight.  Nacosta’s sound is based in rock but pulls strongly from folk, psychedelic and electronic music.  “Under the Half Moon” will be released 3/4/2014 in conjunction with the band’s National tour.

Nacosta was formed in 2011 by brothers, Brandon and Shane Graham. After years of playing in different bands, the time was right for them to form a band together. They were fortunate to share a similar vision for the band's musical direction as well as influences, including Elliott Smith, (Substance Co. artist) Tame Impala, Radiohead, and Wilco.

“Our inspiration for the album was to evolve our sound from our previous releases and to incorporate more electronic sounds and beats into our songs” says Brandon.

The title is partially inspired by the Graham brothers' penchant for being night owls who often wrote and recorded at night. Another big part of inspiration came from collaborating with electronic musician and producer Christian Gibson on the record.
