DEL RIO, Texas - Feb. 17, 2014 - PRLog -- Published by Lightword Publishing, since 1995, The Mindquest Review of Books provides free and low cost publicity and reviews for small press, university press, and self-published significant fiction and nonfiction books. Self-published authors are often ignored by traditional media review sources. The book submitter did not pay for the review or for publishing the review in Mindquest. The submitter did pay a small reading fee.

The following noteworthy books, from many submissions, were chosen for a review:

(8) A Thousand Voices,by Jeri Parker (Winter Beach Press).

(9) Featured Book: Captain No Beard: An Imaginary Tale of a Pirates Life, by Carole P. Roman (Create Space Publishing).

One noteworthy book, in each Mindquest issue, will be designated "Featured Book" and receive an additional free review renewal in the next issue, and a mini review in Bernie’s Synergy Notes column, a $135.50 value.

Mindquest, published six to eight times a year, is emerging as a leading authority for book recommendations. Mindquest is aggressively promoted on the intranet with a press release, links from other web sites, social media sites, RSS feeds, and is snail-mailed to a few selected review sources publishing reviews of books.
