Book for Dealing with Pet Loss Released on AMAZON.COM

NEW YORK - Feb. 18, 2014 - PRLog -- A new book on mourning the loss of a pet has just been released exclusively to Amazon.com.  And author Brandon Casteline says that anyone can use its lessons to cut straight through their pain and find a true sense of closure.

Just released in December, “Dealing with the Loss of a Pet and Learning to Love a New One - A True Story of Lessons Learned and How Any Pet Owner Can Feel Joy Again” offers lessons the author has learned through his own life while grieving the passing of various animals.  But rather than writing a clinical book on the stages of mourning or a breakdown of human coping skills, he decided instead to share his guidance by detailing his own experiences of loss, and then, only after he demonstrated that he truly understands what readers are going through, he offers advice on how they can successfully move on in their own lives.

The decision to present the book in this format was a result of the author’s own frustrations with the limited selection of books on this issue.

“A thing I’ve noticed about most “how to” books on coping is that they always seem to be somewhat sterile and detached from the emotions of the issue at hand,” notes Casteline. “But when it comes to losing a pet, there’s no way around it -- The emotions are raw. They’re real. And they matter in a way that words can never convey.  And I think it’s very important that a book on this topic addresses this.”

Based on reviews from the book’s Amazon page, Casteline’s message seems to be connecting with readers on a very personal level, leading to descriptions of the content that include terms such as ‘engaging’, ‘compelling’, and ‘heartfelt.’

When asked about his intentions for the book, Casteline was quick to mention that a number of friends encouraged him to write it after his advice helped them through their own grieving periods after losing a pet.  He quickly figured that if the advice could work for him and his friends, it could probably work for anyone else in the same situation.

“Ultimately, like the title says, this book has been written to offer a guiding light to you – one, that when followed, is designed to lead you through the mourning process in as effective a way as I have ever experienced myself.  My hope is that it brings any new readers the same benefit.”
