Zinwave to unveil rigorous expansion programme at MWC following its acquisition by McWane Inc
Zinwave to accelerate next-generation photonics development programme in support of advanced LTE networks and future 5G services
Already the only company that can support multiple FDD and TDD LTE services simultaneously across any spectrum allocated globally on a single hardware layer, Zinwave will be building on its proven future-proof platform, ensuring it is able to maximise and deliver the capabilities predicted for 5G networks.
Zinwave is planning to expand its geographical presence and infrastructure for markets in which it operates and to double its head count within 12 months. There will be a strong emphasis on design engineering, sales, customer service and technical support to ensure it maintains its competitive edge and remains a market leader in the development of fiber-based RF coverage solutions.
Zinwave’s in-building wideband active DAS is the only solution available in the market place that supports all cellular and public safety services (including any variant of the new LTE services) on a single hardware layer. Zinwave’s DAS supports any combination of services between 150MHz and 2700MHz, regardless of protocol or modulation scheme.
The system’s straightforward design (comprising just three components) and unique technology delivers building owners, telecom operators and neutral host providers the most flexible solution in the market place, with lowest total cost of ownership per installation.
Says Colin Abrey, President, International, Zinwave; “We are already recognised by industry analysts for our innovative capabilities and we are part of a €1.1 million EU funded R&D project to further advance next-generation photonics and optimized MIMO systems. Our new status allows us to capitalise on our technical strengths and significantly increase our total market share in a rapidly growing industry.”
Zinwave has recently secured its largest MIMO (multiple-input-
