Educomp’s Little Millennium launches “Kickers Club” for Preschool Children in Bangalore

NEW DELHI - Feb. 17, 2014 - PRLog -- New Delhi, 17th Feb 2014: Little Millennium, a part of Educomp Solutions Ltd., India’s leading education company, today launched ‘Little Millennium Kickers Club’ for pre-school children in Bangalore in the age of 3-6 years.

An initiative of Educomp Child Care Pvt. Ltd., Little Millennium Kickers Club is a first of its kind soccer training camp designed for pre-schoolers in the age bracket of 3-6 years.  The programs aims It will provide professional training to the pre-schoolers and lead up to a soccer league finale.

Sports have been traditionally given less importance in Indian education, biased as it is towards academic excellence. Within that, Cricket has occupied centre stage to the detriment of development of other sports. Soccer is the world’s most popular sport but India has lagged in the discipline for lack of initiative, instruction and most often, attention. However, soccer has the potential to improve numerous motor skills in children, provide a vigorous workout, divert youthful energy into the game and generate team skills, leadership and coordination facilities among them. Moreover, there can be no better time to inculcate love for this sport among young children than at a pre-school stage.

Little Millennium Kickers Clubrevolves around a uniquely designed sports curriculum that focuses on nurturing Motor Skills like eye-feet co-ordination, flexibility and body balance, developing leg strength, and buildingteamwork. It also focuses on building Football Skills like dribbling, dodging, passing and kicking the ball.

The sports initiative aims to inculcate the love for sports in children and help them develop the spirit of teamwork, cooperation, sportsmanship and healthy competition. The curriculum aims to provide soccer training to children through a scientifically developed curriculum and provides students a platform to showcase their skills and abilities. Above all, it seeks to re-direct children’s attention from passive watching and internet gaming to real life action sports leading them to fit, active and healthy lifestyles.

The Little Millennium Kickers Club has started out with six teams, appropriately named- Leaping Lions, Flying Tigers, Pally Penguins, Zesty Zebras, Mighty Pandas and Panthers United.
