Troy Atwood Named Vice President of Information Technology for Clinical Research Advantage

TEMPE, Ariz. - Feb. 18, 2014 - PRLog -- Clinical Research Advantage, Inc. (CRA), the country’s largest wholly-owned network of clinical trials sites, is pleased to announce the addition of Troy Atwood as the company’s vice president of information technology.  Atwood, a 30-year veteran of the IT industry, previously held senior management positions at QuinnStreet Inc., NarrowCast Group, and CNET Networks, among other companies.

As vice president of information technology for Clinical Research Advantage, Atwood will be responsible for the company’s networks, hardware and communications. This includes completing the integration of Radiant Research and Comprehensive Clinical Development, two clinical research companies acquired by CRA. Atwood will also oversee the implementation of CRA’s integrated platform for clinical research at each new site location.

“As CRA continues to grow and expand to new locations across the country, our information systems are crucial to maintaining our high quality standards,” said Eric Levie, CRA’s chief technology officer. “Troy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our company. We are glad to have him on our team.”

Atwood will be based at the company’s headquarters in Tempe, Ariz. “I am excited to join CRA,” he said. “I am passionate about technology and building innovative systems.  I look forward to applying my knowledge to support and build upon the platforms pioneered by CRA.”

Atwood has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from DeVry University and a Network Management Certificate from the University of California at Santa Cruz.  His diverse professional background includes managing IT systems for companies in the healthcare, defense, semiconductor and dot-com industries.
