Evan Guthrie Law Firm Attends Summerville, SC Higher Learning Academy Event At Ashley Ridge High

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Feb. 16, 2014 - PRLog -- Attorney Evan Guthrie of the Evan Guthrie Law Firm in Charleston, South Carolina spoke at the Dorchester County District 2 Higher Learning Academy event at Ashley Ridge High School in Summerville, SC on Saturday September 13^th 2013. The event has a goal of introducing students from Ashley Ridge, Fort Dorchester, and Summerville High Schools to college and careers with informative sessions with speakers and the presence of local community business partners. Evan Guthrie Law Firm was among other business partners from the Charleston, SC area community that also included others such as Boeing and SPAWAR.

Attorney Evan Guthrie spoke about the legal profession and the many opportunities that exist in the field to students and parents in attendance. Mr. Guthrie talked about his career as a lawyer and the many other types of legal careers including paralegal, legal assistant, investigators, law marketing, and criminal justice, among other careers. Attorney Guthrie took many questions from students and parents including what were the best classes to take to prepare for a legal career, what the typical work week was for a lawyer in terms of hours per week, and what was the pay range for different types of practice areas of law.

This was the third year that Mr. Guthrie has taken part in the Higher Learning Academy for Dorchester County District Two High Schools. Attorney Evan Guthrie was happy to be back to lend guidance to students and encourage them to seek higher learning through colleges and careers. Mr. Guthrie looks forward to being a part of helping Dorchester County schools for many more years to come.
