“...the greed I'm seeing is stars beyond me and I think what's worse, is the need we feel to feed the machine...” lyrics from “Speak the Truth,” a track from The Sudden Lovely’s upcoming release, Brave and Alive.

Since their inception in 2010, The Sudden Lovelys (Daniel and Paige Ferraro) have grown as a band and developed their identity as something more than a folk duo. They are storytellers capable of taking their listener on a dynamic journey. There is a timeless quality to their music that shines through in deep and truthful lyrics. Brave and Alive encompasses all of who they are as The Sudden Lovelys. This album calls out to the listener and promotes action with its message of love, authenticity and self awareness.

Brave and Alive was produced by Daniel Ferraro and co-produced by Jake Dilley (The Color Pharmacy). It was recorded at The Pearl Recording Studio by engineer Zachary Hollander (Andrew Byrd, Brian Setzer), mixed by Tom Herbers (Low, Trampled By Turtles) and mastered by Greg Reierson (Prince). This album features many Minneapolis based guest musicians including drummers Mark Larson (The 4onthefloor) and Jacob Quam (The Color Pharmacy), organist Jack Kolb-Williams (Bigtree Bonsai), bassist Andrew Foreman (Davina and the Vagabonds), violinist Laila Stainbrook and keyboardist/accordionist Eric Stainbrook (The Sunny Era).

The Sudden Lovelys will be promoting this album with a United States and European tour this summer. As an independent band they are working tirelessly to get Brave and Alive the recognition it deserves.
