Fund Manager renews Australian Head Office lease for a further 10 years
La Trobe Financial, one of Australia’s leading credit specialist Fund Manager, has recently negotiated renewal of its Australian Head Office lease at the prestigious 333 Collins Street Melbourne.
The landmark tower in the heart of Melbourne’s Financial district is considered by many as one of Melbourne’s most exclusive addresses and houses some of Australia’s leading blue chip commercial, legal, financial and corporate tenants operating in Australia including Korda Mentha, Deutsche Bank, Clayton Utz and American Express.
La Trobe Financial first became tenants at 333 Collins Street in 2004. Today La Trobe Financial boasts over 123 staff and has re-secured the entire floor at Level 25. President & CEO Greg O’Neill said, “this is in line with our business strategy, as the company continues to expand its footprint in markets both domestically and overseas.”
Only late last year La Trobe Financial announced that it had moved into larger Sydney offices at the Chifley Tower with the objective of also growing the team at its Sydney premises to keep up with growing demand and to support our dedicated modern retail customer call centre operations in Traralgon. Prior to these tenancy announcements La Trobe Financial in 2008 opened its first international office in Shanghai and is now actively assessing the opening of its second regional Asian based office in Hong Kong or Singapore.
Greg O’Neill recalls when they first started in the building at 333 Collins Street Melbourne, over ten years ago and said “the symmetry felt right to take out a longer term lease to reflect our current business thinking and planning in the Asia Pacific region. A new ten year lease after ten years being here was right for us, we work extremely well with the building management team Karl has in place here and deeply appreciate the personal touch and care they bring to their job every day. We just can’t fault Phillip Garrett as Building Manager and his team and know Karl well… they are on the same page about relationship building and thinking long term.”
Mr O’Neill went on to say “in the last couple of years our company has really grown strategically due to the excellent efforts contributed by our Divisional Managers in driving the company forward both domestically and overseas, and also as a result of the first rate long term partnerships we form with individuals in the Asia Pacific region… Karl is frankly one of those people.” Mr Randal Williams, Senior Vice President and the Group’s Chief Wealth Management Officer applauded the foresight and vision of the CEO to take the lead and provide a decade of certainty about the future prospects of the business in such a demonstrable way, ”...all the staff are really very pleased and quietly excited about the future,” said Mr Williams.
