The VA home loan hit record heights in 2013 with the Department of Veterans Affair guaranteeing a record 630,000 VA loans.  Since the housing collapse in 2007, VA Home loan volume has risen approximately 372%.

The VA loan program was officially passed by Congress in 1944 under the Servicemen’s Readjustment Act.  Since then, the Department of Veterans Affair has guaranteed approximately 20 million home loans.
