Indigo Star Concepts recently came back from the Keys to Success Conference in Dallas, TX, where team members were given the opportunity to take part in high-energy training sessions and inspired networking events. Education in goal setting was high on this conference’s agenda for the coming year in order to help business owners really pursue the growth they expect to see. Indigo Star Concept’s CEO Felicia explained one of her favorite experiences, “I truly learned how to handle myself in certain situations. I feel like I can conduct business meetings with clients and other leaders with a lot more confidence.”

Working exclusively in direct marketing requires a special set of skills. The sales and marketing industry is ever-changing, which means that the tactics Indigo Star Concepts pursues should be just as versatile. “Another thing I took notice of was the difference in the pitch. We’re all doing the same thing but everyone has their own style. It was great to see the differences in how people pitch the same product that we all have. I learned a lot about how to succeed in many different ways. It was refreshing,” the CEO further commented.

But more than that, attendees wanted to hear about how to become leaders as businesspeople. Their desire is to own their own companies as Felicia has done, and that is the focus of most of the events at the recent Dallas conference. And they were not disappointed.

The Keys to Success Conference invites six of the top managers and VPs in their industry to come and share their experiences, training others in their process of achieving entrepreneurial success. Indigo Star Concepts was privileged to attend these sessions, “Learning what the top dogs are doing and copying them in the best possible ways,” explained Felicia. “I’m confident that the coming year means great changes for Indigo Star Concepts!”

Before she opened Indigo Star Concepts, Felicia was mentored in the art of taking risks in order to achieve career success. She commented that, “Without a bit of risk, the opportunity for success just isn’t there. If you want to make it big as a business leader, you shouldn’t close doors to avoid risky areas, or the opportunities for long-term benefits will be closed as well. We risked financial stability and gained financial freedom for our effort.” It is with this attitude that Felicia has gotten to where she is today.

After achieving her recent successes with Indigo Star Concepts, Felicia returned to her hometown, “I always believed in myself and knew that I would make it. But when I saw my hometown and that no one was doing anything since the year before I’d left, I realized I’d made the right choice to take my future into my own hands. I wanted financial freedom and the ability to do whatever I want with my day, and I have that now with Indigo Star Concepts. Leaving New York let me get away from it all and figure out who I am and I couldn’t be better for having done so.”

Felicia now knows that businesses cannot afford to remain stable in today’s economy, and risks – just like those she took in leaving New York – are an essential component of survival. Success and growth should not just be goals, but the main focus of a company’s process. Stability leads to diminished progress, which ultimately leads to existing business’ demise. Knowing the importance of goal-setting, Indigo Star Concepts has set several exciting targets for the coming year. The company’s plans to promote and recruit start with a concrete agenda complete with steps for accomplishing these promotions and recruitments. As a result, the firm’s CEO is aiming to have two to three promotions take place in the next quarter, and will get there because of her intensity and enthusiasm. Additionally, she will seek out new motivations for the team, with recruitment efforts high on the company’s agenda as well.

Goals should be set with the ultimate result being growth. Revenue increases, loss prevention and even customer satisfaction are all goals that will lead to desirable results. “With a focus on passion and drive, we expect to see rampant growth,” Felicia commented. These foci will certainly aid Indigo Star Concepts in their actionable steps toward goal completion. The company CEO is setting the standard for her company, showing team members exactly how to go about succeeding as a business leader. She expects this method to deliver high returns on her investment of time and energy into her team.
