PORTLAND, Ore. - Feb. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Wedding season is fast approaching. Brides are busy gathering ideas and planning details that will create their dream day. The Floral Design Institute professionals have been busy compiling information to help you with the 2014 wedding season trends.

It is all about color! Brights are back with a bang, all colors of the rainbow are ready to come to the party with this vivid and saturated color selection. Brides who want to make a statement will be choosing these festive hues. Moving from bold to soft, pastels blend to create a romantic chic color palette which will range from mint green, creamy white, butter yellow, to soft pink. Gold will also be brought into this color combination for some glamour and for the bride who is vintage inspired. Blues are big this season, encompassing all shades of the sea and sky including teals and aqua for a soothing monochromatic color harmony. Natural hues will make up another selection. Deep chocolates and wood tones blend with moss greens, burgundy, creams and silver for a woodland inspired palette that is sure to represent the outdoors. Lastly, the popular blush tones can be seen in every tint and shade of soft pink playing off one another for the most softest feminine touch.

What better way to incorporate the color palate of a wedding than with flowers. Big blousy blooms like peonies, garden roses and ranunculus are all the rage. Succulents of every variety and form can be nestled among the softest blossoms for texture and a trendy wild organic floral design. These flowers; used in hand- tie bouquets are very popular and will be carried by brides and bridesmaids alike this wedding season. Cascade style bouquets are having a resurgence; from modern to traditional, petite or dramatic, this teardrop shaped design will bring classic elegance to a brides wedding look. Brides are also looking for hair adornments, and the perfect touch is a flower halo or crown. These are not just for little ones they can add an angelic addition to a veil or be worn alone; either way a grand addition to any wedding attire. Lush floral garlands not only will drape over archways, and side tables, but may also be found along aisles, backs of the get away car, and for a more daring bride used along table tops to create a fresh take on a table runner.

These are a few strong trends that will be seen thorough out the season. As predicted by International Floral Distributors in early January, trends of Confetti, bold and bright, Grand Lodge, rustic glamour, Aquaculture, blues and all things aquatic, and the ever popular Revival, vintage elegance will be strong theme choices for brides in the 2014 wedding season. Hand crafted details, such as paper flowers and fans, chalkboards, custom rubber stamps and logos will be found in every wedding décor for a touch that is personalized to the couple. You can be sure that no matter the style of the event, color scheme, or the floral designs included, each and every wedding this season will have an element of opulence. Brides want to bring a feeling of luxury, glamour, and indulgence to their special day.
