Dynetics to Host Second Rocket City TakeDownCon in August

Feb. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- After a successful 2013 Rocket City TakeDownCon with 230 attendees and 70 pre-conference training participants, Dynetics will host and sponsor Rocket City TakeDownCon 2014, again co-presented by EC-Council. Pre-conference training will be Aug. 14-17, with the conference on Aug. 18-19. The IT security conference will take place in the Dynetics Solutions Complex, 1004 Explorer Blvd., in Huntsville’s Cummings Research Park.

Rocket City TakeDownCon is a highly technical forum that focuses on the latest vulnerabilities, the most potent exploits and current security threats. The best and the brightest in the cybersecurity field will share their expertise, giving attendees an opportunity to learn about the industry’s most current and important issues.

With two days and two dynamic tracks, plans call for Day 1 to focus on the Attack, teaching delegates how even the most protected systems can be breached. Day 2 is slated to focus on Defense, challenging attendees to determine if their defense mechanisms are prepared to thwart nefarious and persistent attacks.

The Training Academy held before the conference will offer such classes as EC-Council’s Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CHFI (Certified Hacking Forensic Investigator), Certified Security Analyst (ECSA), Securing Windows Infrastructure, Advanced Network Defense and Advanced Penetration Testing.

Paul Coggin, a Cisco Systems certified instructor, a certified EC-Council instructor and a certified SCADA security architect, will teach a new class this year called “Digital Energy Security.” Coggin, an internetwork consulting solutions architect with Dynetics, will also present at the conference. Training attendees will receive free admission to the conference as well as official courseware (for EC-Council and CAST training), a complimentary exam voucher (for EC-Council certification training), a certificate of attendance and lunch and coffee breaks throughout the training.

Discounts for training are available to EC-Council members, government employees and college students and professors.

“We were pleased to have such an outstanding response last year to both the training offerings and the conference. It’s a privilege to again host world class speakers and offer extensive training in one venue, and all at a reasonable price,” said Dynetics’ vice president, Jonathan Whitcomb.
