WARSAW, Ind. - Feb. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Former Marine Bill Kipp, creator of the award-winning FAST Defense empowerment program, is the featured presenter for a personal safety and adrenal stress training program for adults and teens ages 13 and older, March 30 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Cost for the class is $60.

Kipp from Longmont, Colorado will be making a special teaching appearance in Indiana to teach this class along with local certified FAST Defense instructor, Steve Zorn of Personal Safety Unlimited. Participants will learn simple self-protection skills designed to effectively escape ground attacks and sexual assault scenarios. This empowering program will be held at Kosciusko Community YMCA at 1401 E. Smith St. in Warsaw.

The class will address worst case attack scenarios such as:

-Fighting off a mounted attacker from various positions

-Fighting from the guard position

-5 simple strikes that work in almost any situation

-Power Grappling to use adrenaline to fight for your life

-Scenarios that simulate mixed martial arts and sexual assault positions

“This class is not about learning complex martial arts techniques or cage fighting,” said Steve Zorn. “It’s about teaching adults and teens the essential skills to escape violent attacks that might end up on the ground.”

Kipp has more than 20 years of teaching this highly specialized training, logging more than 50,000 live adrenal stress scenarios against students ranging from children, teens, moms, and dads to martial arts experts and professional fighters. The former United States Marine served three West Pacific deployments with the elite 3rd Marine Recon Teams, the last as Recon Team Leader. He also is a fifth degree black belt who has been studying martial arts for more than 30 years. He was inducted into the Black Belt Magazine Hall of Fame in 2012.

Space is limited to only 24 participants.
