Social Experiment for today...Is Social Networking REALLY all its cracked up to be?

SYDNEY - Feb. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Stuck in a rut? Looking for the easy Answers? Looking for that Get Rich Scheme that WILL work for you?  Guess what! That Get Rich Quick scheme is just that….A Scheme….You have to put in a few hard yards to reap any satisfaction.

That’s not  to say, there are some of us out there, that are just so dead arsy, they seem to fall on their feet...no matter what!  Me, I’d like to learn what I’m doing along the way….Now, that breeds Appreciation!

So my first Social Experiment for this year is Social networking.  I’m off to get my brand and business out there….But, Where to start?...What do I say?...What should I wear?….What do I take?

Lets Start with:

‘What do I take’….A Colleague or friend is the best, Keeps you calm, while breaking those waters on your Virgin Voyage! In addition, business cards, maybe a few products or flyers...Sell yourself, no-one will do it for you!

‘What should I Wear’...After you’ve tried on a mountain of outfits and you need to climb out of your wardrobe, go with what you are most comfortable in and an outfit best suited to what you are trying to project in yourself and business. (Note to Self) If a meal is included….you may want to take that into extra consideration (Got to fit dessert in somewhere!)…..

‘Where to Start’ and ‘What do I say?’...Start with Hello, Hi (always a good one), and introduce yourself.  Have a few Key  Questions ready for your new networking family...It doesn’t matter if you repeat the same question to multiple people, particularly if you get the response you are after.  Also, have a few ‘about you’s’ ready!. Your business name, what it is you do, what your business does.. Keep it basic, because NERVES will be fluttering about like butterflies and this is the time you will be able to hear your heart pumping and your voice from the inside...Do I really sound like that?   Aaaarggghhh!

No matter what, have FUN with it!  Keep it  light and people will respond and interact with you, utilise what knowledge they have on offer and accept all those business cards, you never know where they may lead!
