Dr. Ariel Ortiz of Obesity Control Center in Mexico Now Offers Obalon Balloon Weight Loss Pill
At Obesity Control Center in Mexico bariatric surgeon Dr. Ariel Ortiz offers the Obalon balloon pill to help obese individuals lose weight without surgery.
How the Obalon Balloon Works
After four years of collaboration between Dr. Ortiz and the Obalon company, individuals in Mexico who suffer from obesity and would like to lose weight now have an innovative alternative to bariatric surgery: the Obalon balloon.
The Obalon balloon is the world’s first weight loss device that can be swallowed in capsule form. The patient swallows a simple capsule during a quick office procedure that does not require the use of any medication or anesthesia. Once the patient has swallowed the capsule, the balloon deploys inside the stomach, creating a sensation of satiety. The expanded balloon restricts the amount of food an individual can consume, and it suppresses the patient’s appetite. The entire procedure takes about five minutes, and the patient can resume his or her normal activities immediately after the procedure.
The Obalon Balloon Treatment Plan and Weight Loss Success Information
Those who opt for Obalon balloon weight loss treatment follow a three- to four-month treatment plan. About one month after the first balloon has been placed, the body starts to adapt to the balloon, and the satiety effect starts to diminish. At that point, the patient returns to the Obesity Control Center office to swallow another balloon capsule to maintain the beneficial effects of treatment. Overall, two to three balloons will be used over the course of treatment.
The Obalon balloon offers potential weight loss that exceeds any other nonsurgical weight loss device. Over three months, patients can lose more than 50 percent of their excess weight. Until now, the amount of potential weight loss has only been achieved with certain types of invasive bariatric surgery.
The Stomagic Comprehensive Weight Loss Program
In addition, Dr. Ortiz has developed a comprehensive weight loss program to help patients lose the excess weight and maintain their desired results over the long term. With the Stomagic program, individuals use the Obalon balloon for four months, during which they can expect dramatic weight loss results, as long as they follow the program properly. During this initial phase and for the remainder of the year, patients use the Stomagic interactive smart phone app to track their eating habits. The Stomagic app offers advice regarding how to correct the patient’s eating patterns if they veer off course.
The app shares the patient’s eating habits with the nutritionist assigned to the case, in real time. Tips of the day, menu options and exercise plans are also included in the Stomagic app. Finally, the app allows individuals to share their success via social media to help keep them motivated and inspire others.
The Stomagic comprehensive weight loss program also includes Vitaleph vitamin supplements and protein shakes to ensure the patient is getting the proper nutrition while eating smaller portions of food.
Collectively, the regulation of the appetite and food intake with the Obalon balloon; the mental conditioning and behavioral retraining achieved with the Stomagic smart phone app; and the cellular nutrition provided with the Vitaleph vitamin supplements and protein shakes work to help patients lose the excess weight — and keep it off for the rest of their lives. The comprehensive program affects the mind, stomach and entire body for long-lasting weight loss results.
