Find My iPhone™ Activation Lock is No Longer an Obstacle for Mobile Device Renewal Companies
Mobile Device Recyclers will benefit from FutureDial's GreenT™ and iRT™, which feature support for iPhone 5C and 5S, Android and Blackberry devices, and automatic detection of Find My iPhone™ Activation Lock.
Detection of Find My Phone™Setting
Many iPhones traded-in for refurbishing and recycling often have Apple’s Find My iPhone™ Activation Lock enabled which can prevent businesses from renewing these devices. FutureDial’s GreenT™ and iRT™ now detect whether the Find My iPhone™ setting is activated. This alerts the line operator to set aside those iPhones for special consideration or processing.
“I applaud Apple’s effort to deter the theft of these highly desirable devices through Find My iPhone, and FutureDial’s new automated detection adds a great deal of value in providing timely information to reverse logistics service operators. Armed with this knowledge, these businesses can operate at a higher level of efficiency as well as take rapid action upstream within their supply chain,” says Thomas Rayas, FutureDial’s SVP of Sales & Business Development.
More Smart Phone and Tablet Model Support
In addition to the Find My iPhone™ Activation Lock detection, FutureDial’s GreenT™ and iRT™ now have added support for iPhone 5C and 5S models, as well as expanded coverage of Android and Blackberry devices within iRT™. This helps recyclers to quickly and accurately receive, track and data-clear these devices within their production lines.
FutureDial VP of Product and Marketing, Dwight Huang points out: “Mobile device recyclers which handle a lot of iPhones will appreciate this added iPhone model support and detection of the Find My iPhone Activation Lock. They will not need to spend extra time and resources to identify which iPhones need special attention. GreenT and iRT help them to move more iPhone devices through their pipelines and get more done.”
