Greater Raleigh NAWBO Offers Discussion on Public Policy for Women-Owned Businesses at 2014 Luncheon
Nancy McFarlane (Mayor of Raleigh and Founder of MedPro Rx) and Jane Pinsky (Director of the Coalition for Lobbying and Government Reform) share their knowledge on public policy for women-owned businesses with NAWBO members and guests.
Prior to the luncheon, Jane Pinsky will lead a brief, informal discussion on “Your Bottom Line Depends on You—Being an Advocate” from 10:15am to 11:15 am. This talk is exclusively for luncheon participants, and Pinsky will outline why being an advocate is good for your business’s bottom line, ways to advocate for new growth, and how to remove road-blocks that can hinder your growth.
Nancy McFarlane is currently the Mayor of Raleigh and the Founder/President of MedPro Rx. Prior to serving as mayor, she was a two-term Raleigh city councilwoman.
Moderator, Jane Pinsky, has been Director of the North Carolina Coalition for Lobbying and Government Reform since 2007 and a North Carolinian since 1986. The Coalition works to einsure that North Carolina has governments, from local to state, open and accountable to their citizens. It has helped enact ethics legislation for legislators, lobbyists, government leaders and staff.
“This is an extremely important panel that will help you and your business. Do not miss it!” urges Kim Lewey, President of NAWBO.
