LONDON - Feb. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- With only a third of the season remaining, this weekend's fixtures couldn't be more crucial for teams at the top of the league, teams at the foot of the table and teams in the middle. Quite simply, all teams still have something to play

for at this time of the season, which is unprecedented in the Premier League. 5 points is the difference between a place in the top half of the table and a place in the relegation zone. All eyes this weekend and midweek will be on the

battle for the European places as a number of 6 pointers are being played.

Here is a summary of in-depth football analysis, predictions and tips for this weekend's fixtures in the Barclays Premier League.

Saturday 8th February 2014

Liverpool V Arsenal

Match Prediction : At the start of the season, if I had said to you, these two teams could still be fighting for the title at this stage of the season, you may have had a little chuckle but as it stands, Liverpool still have to face

Arsenal, City and Chelsea at Anfield and Arsenal sit firmly at the top of the table and have done so for the majority of the season so far. I think this game has all the makings of a classic, with Liverpool's attacking prowess and their

recent defensive negligence and also with the return of Oxlade-Chamberlain I think there will be goals galore.

Score Prediction : 3 - 3

Aston Villa V West Ham

Match Prediction
: Villa have been decent of late, despite their loss late on to Everton last weekend, they look a much better outfit at home and with West Ham also finding form this could get interesting. A lot will rest on whether

Carroll can play and escape his suspension, as his input was so vital to the Hammers' win over Swansea last time out. Without Carroll I predict Villa win this 1-0, with him, I go for a draw.

Score Prediction : 1 - 0

Chelsea V Newcastle

Match Prediction : Newcastle will want a big performance after their embarrassing 3 - 0 reverse at home to local rivals Sunderland last weekend. Only problem is they face a scorching Cheslea side at the Bridge fresh from their away win

at Manchester City. Despite a decent record against Chelsea in the past, I think this is a case of wrong place at the wrong time for Pardew's men.

Score Prediction : 3 - 1

Crystal Palace V West Brom

Match Prediction : Palace have been very impressive of late under Pulis, they did well at Arsenal for most of the match but came undone at the end. I think they may have more luck against the defensive and goal shy Baggies and I tip

Puncheon to get on the score sheet.

Score Prediction : 2 - 1

Norwich V Man City

Match Prediction : Unfortunately for Chris Hughton's men, City have just been beaten and they don't like that to happen twice in a row. The best Norwich can hope for will be a score draw but I don't think that'll happen. Going for a

narrow City away win.

Score Prediction : 1 - 2

Southampton V Stoke City

Match Prediction : Stoke used to be a side who were hard to score against, but under Hughes they tend to concede more than they score of late although Charlie Adam may have a say with his trusty left foot. Southampton's trio of England

internationals seem to be on fire, and I think they will have too much at home for Stoke.

Score Prediction : 3 - 1

Sunderland V Hull City

Match Prediction : Poyet has managed to turn a really struggling Sunderland side into a very fast moving and exciting team to watch, with Ki in the middle and Adam Johnson upfront, they will really test Hull. This will be a game of few

chances and it may take individual brilliance from Johnson, Ki, Jelavic or Huddlestone to win it.

Score Prediction : 1 - 0

Swansea V Cardiff City

Match Prediction : The local derby, we're all looking forward to this weekend. Will the sacking of Laudrup play a part, I think it will. Cardiff come off the back of a 2-1 win at home to Norwich and Swansea come off the back of a 2 - 0

loss away to West Ham. This one has all the makings of a scrappy battle, I'm going to sit and watch it on the fence.

Score Prediction : 1 - 1

Sunday 9th February 2014

Tottenham V Everton

Match Prediction : This game is the quintessential 6 pointer! a draw suits neither side and a win for Everton, moves them away from Spurs and possibly into a top 4 spot but a win for Spurs gives Sherwood's men a psychological boost

winning away at Everton and looking up at the big boys once again. Crucial affair, in which I'm going for the thing they both don't want, a draw.

Score Prediction : 2 - 2

Man Utd V Fulham

Match Prediction : United have a very good record against Fulham and are in dire need of a win after the 2 - 1 loss away on that cold wet day at Stoke which is commonly referred to as the acid test for big teams in the Premier League.

United came unstuck then but I think they will bounce back against the Premier League's bottom side at Old Trafford.

Score Prediction : 2 - 0
