Independent Publishing Company succeeds with its translation of Italian authors into English
DieGo Comic Publishing is an independent publishing company dedicated to translating Italian authors into English, and to discovering new and emerging authors from around the world.
DieGo Comic Publishing is a London-based independent publishing company that started by translating the work of Italians authors into English, and is now devoted to discovering new and emerging authors from around the world. Founded in November of 2012, the fledgling company is a cooperative of authors, artists, editors and proofreaders, as well as an innovative graphic designer, Denise Di Prima, who creates the unique graphics of DieGo’s publications.
DieGo Comic Publishing is the creation of founders Giuseppe and Marcella Pennestri’. Giuseppe, who was previously a restaurant manager, and Marcella, an artist, writer and anatomy teacher, both inherited their father's passion for comics and books. After Giuseppe had lived in London for several years, they decided to found a publishing company that could introduce Italian authors to a wider, English-speaking audience.
“It is our obligation to introduce some of the best European voices to a global audience, to find the sharpest talent and bring it to the eyes and minds of fantasy lovers all over the world.” - Marcella and the company philosophy.
Nobody on the DieGo crew draws a salary - all members of our dedicated team work for a portion of the royalties, banking on the success of the various publications we produce.
In its first year of activity, DieGo Comic Publishing has introduced a number of literary and graphic novels by renowned Italian authors, as well as a flagship magazine that takes readers deep into the worlds of fantasy, steampunk and science fiction. Our titles have received great feedback from industry professionals and readers who bought them at the MCM Comic Convention and World Fantasy Convention in late 2013.
The cornerstones of DieGo are the successful Rourke the Hexbuster, which contains the first two instalments of Federico Memola’s Rourke series, and Marco Guadalupi’s novel, Dark Rock Chronicles.
* Rourke the Hexbuster is an atmospheric and thrilling graphic horror novel set in Ireland. Expect demon hunts, eerie adventures into supernatural worlds and the strife of Rourke, our conflicted anti-hero.
* Dark Rock Chronicles is a fantastic novel that sees the electrifying clash between the worlds of magic and heavy metal. Expect thundering bass and gruelling guitar battles, in a series that speaks so loudly it creates its own soundtrack.
