Horror Realm Presents Grindhouse Film Program

PITTSBURGH - Feb. 5, 2014 - PRLog -- Horror Realm and The Hollywood Theater in Dormont present a day-long program of drive-in, grindhouse, and exploitation films from the 60s and 70s on February 15.  The groups have previously teamed up to produce several popular film programs including “13 Hours of Horror” and “13 Hours of Sci-Fi.  This is the second grindhouse-style offering after last year’s successful “13 Hours of Grindhouse”.  This year’s program features more than 14 hours of programming.

Doors open at 10:30 AM, with the first film starting at 10:45 AM. Doors close after the last feature, around 1:30 AM Sunday. Tickets are available at the door. Admission is $15 for an all-day pass, or $5 for a single movie.  The first 50 attendees who purchase an all day pass will receive a compilation CD featuring music from the films on the program.

·         06:30 PM The Mercenary

·         8:30 PM Grizzly

·         11:40 PM Almost Human

Several breaks will be worked into the program to allow those diehard fans who come for the day to grab a bite at one of Dormont’s great local dining spots.  For those who don’t wish to venture outside, the concession stand will be featuring pizza and hot dogs in addition to its usual affordable offerings.

The Hollywood Theater is also BYOB.  Patrons 21 and older (must have an ID) are permitted to bring beer or wine with them to enjoy during the films.  Alcohol is not permitted in the balcony.  Outside non-alcoholic beverages or food are not permitted.

The Hollywood, a nonprofit independent organization, is located at 1449 Potomac Avenue in Dormont.  Free parking is available on the street or at several public parking lots nearby.  The Potomac light rail transit station is less than two blocks from the theater.  Visit www.thehollywooddormont.org for information.
