Love, Murder and Gastro Delights in "Murder at Mardi Gras"

FRESNO, Calif. - Feb. 4, 2014 - PRLog -- Tara Hamilton, organic farmer and owner of Organic Fresno launched a murder mystery Dinner Theater on February 14, 2013. “We wanted to share our favorite entertainment from Toronto and our love of organic food. It’s been fantastic!”

The new script “Murder at Mardi Gras” is set in New Orleans. The suspects are gathered at the final reading of the will of Pierre DuPre, the 81 year old billionaire, who was brutally murdered during the Carnaval season prior to Mardi Gras.

The cast highlights local talent. Leigh Ratliffe, weekend announcer at KVPR, has authored the script with the cast members in mind. Warren Henderson, student at Fresno City College, performed in a Winter Olympics Visa commercial but is excited about performing live for Fresnans. “This will be the third script I’m performing in and I love it! I didn’t think I’d be good at ad libbing but interacting with the audience and answering their questions has increased my confidence.”

Audience members eat their 4 course farm to fork dinner which highlights an ever changing menu of dishes made from local, organic ingredients. All you care to eat. They then watch the comedic drama unfold. The investigation begins, suspects are questioned and secrets are revealed. The audience gets an opportunity to question the suspects before they take a break and guess whodunnit.  Prizes are awarded for the correct solution. It is fun, family friendly and unique.

“Murder at Mardi Gras” opens on February 14^th and will run until March 29^th. It is performed at Organic Fresno at 903 N. Parkway Drive, off Highway 99.
Dinner and Show are $25 and run from 6 pm to 8:30 pm on Saturdays. Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten Free and Meat options are available. Wine, Beer and Drinks are available for purchase.
