Military Song of the Year Award winner and BRAKES supporters to perform at Wild Horse Motorsports Park NHRA drag racing event on February 23

PHOENIX - Feb. 4, 2014 - PRLog -- The award-winning CTS (Consider The Source) rock band will perform during the Racers For Christ (RFC) service on Sunday February 23 at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler Arizona during the National Hot Rod Association’s Car Quest Auto Parts Nationals drag race. The band will perform at both the 7 and 8 a.m. services

Team RFC is a group whose member’s love of the Lord is so strong they include him in everyday activities, even on race days. The non-profit organization’s motto is "Bringing Inspiration to the World of Motorsports," and provides chapel services, pastoral care, outreach and Christian fellowship at races, car shows, and cruise-ins throughout North America.

C.T.S. wrote and recorded "You Won't Be Forgotten (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQBQmQL34DI),” named Song of the Year by the Military Writer's Guild for honoring US military veterans. The band also penned “Snowball Express,” the official song of Snowball Express, a non-profit dedicated to helping families of America’s fallen military heroes.

The band is no stranger to the world of NHRA drag racing, the sport’s premier sanctioning body. Band founder and songwriter, Jeff Senour, wrote “Quarter Mile” about the motorcycle racing life of Valerie Thompson, a friend and 5-time land speed record holder in his hometown of Phoenix. Thompson will be on hand for photos and autographs. “Quarter Mile” was featured as a fundraising song for BRAKES (Be Responsible Keep Everyone Safe), a non-profit organization and official NHRA charity, founded by Top Fuel champion Doug Herbert after he lost two sons in an automobile accident. BRAKES is an innovative safe-driving program offered to high schools nationwide to prevent teen-related driving accidents and fatalities.

“RFC is a wonderful organization with an inspirational message, so we can’t wait to perform for their loyal audience. To appreciate the drama and overwhelming experience of a NHRA drag race, you need to be trackside, so we hope for record breaking attendance,” said Senour.  “More importantly, it’s very gratifying to work with the NHRA who recognizes the valuable work done by organizations like RFC and BRAKES. We are truly honored to part of this event,” added Senour.

Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park is located at 20000 South Maricopa Road in Chandler, Arizona. The RFC service and CTS performance are included in the daily admission price. For race and ticket information, visit tickets@racewildhorse.comor call(480) 639-1921.

Jeff Senour founded CTS in 2002. Senour also wrote “Snowball Express,” the official song of the Snowball Express non-profit organization, dedicated to supporting the families of fallen military heroes. After years of concerts and multiple CD releases, he wanted to use the band’s music to inspire America’s youth to live their dreams by creating The Freedom Rock Experience (FRE).
