Compassionate Doctor Award Given to Louisville Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Stacie Grossfeld

As a graduate of the University of Louisville’s School of Medicine, Dr. Grossfeld is a Fellow with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS).  Her medical specialties include providing orthopedic treatment to people with knee injuries and shoulder surgery and repair.

Dr. Grossfeld is very skilled at working with athletes and is a specialist in sports medicine. She completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Fowler-Kennedy Sports Medicine Center.  As a competitive tennis player, avid cyclist, and cross-country skier, Dr. Grossfeld understands the special concerns and needs of athletes.

In addition to serving as the orthopedic doctor for many Louisville-area athletes, Dr. Grossfeld also works as the orthopedic surgeon for the Louisville Ballet, Indiana University Southeast, South Oldham High School Football, and Spalding University. She also enjoys serving as the sports medicine physician at area cyclocross competitions including the 2013 Cyclocross World Championships held in Louisville, Kentucky.

Dr. Grossfeld is very involved in the Louisville community, serving on the board of the Louisville Sports Commission. Recently she helped this unique non-profit organization start a special committee focused on health and wellness in Louisville and the surrounding region.
