Feb. 3, 2014 - PRLog -- Three Forks, MT and Oneonta, NY (February 3, 2014)-Three Forks-based BioCapacity on Demand, LLC and Oneonta, NY-based Medical Coaches, Inc. has announced an exclusive agreement to manufacture and equip  mobile biologics manufacturing platforms for the human and veterinary pharmaceuticals, biofuels, and agriculture industries.

"This is an important milestone for our company moving forward," says Dr. Rob Keene, Chief Executive Officer. “The quality of the platform construction and their stature as an international leader helped us select Medical Coaches for this much-needed solution for the biotechnology industry."

There is a significant demand for flexible bioprocessing and purification platforms to fill the gap between biologic product conceptualization and larger production facilities. BioCapacity On Demand (BCOD) has filed patents around this technology that will complement existing, yet constrained, brick and mortar facilities. BioCapacity On Demand platforms can be applied to any industry that use bioreactors or fermenters to manufacture products.

"We are very proud to be associated with BioCapacity On Demand and we look forward to bringing over 60 years of manufacturing experience to the table," said Geoff Smith, president of Medical Coaches, Inc."Medical Coaches has delivered thousands of mobile units to over 110 countries. Many of our mobile units are  "first-of-a-kind," like the BioCapacity On Demand system. Our local workforce has many years of experience and takes intense pride in all mobile unit deliveries."

The limiting factor for emerging biologic technologies is producing sufficient quantities of materials for advanced studies. Many technologies fail at the early stage because of a lack of capital resources available for pinpointing and overcoming the challenges associated with moving from small flask production to >10 L scale. The flexible bio-production platform developed by BCOD will enable companies to move product through development cycles with greater efficiency.

"Proving the science before spending on capital equipment should be a huge benefit to most emerging technology companies," says Dr. Michael Guerini, Chief Operating Officer for BCOD. “The merging of these mature technologies, bio-processing and mobile coaches, will certainly enable more companies to be successful while minimizing debt incursion most often experienced with the traditional biologic product development cycle.”

BCOD concluded an initial round of funding in 2013. This funding was used for filing patents and trademarks, developing computer- based scale model platforms, travel and company start-up expenses.

As BCOD and Medical Coaches move into this partnership in 2014 we are positioned to build and deliver coaches by Summer, 2014. These coaches will be available for purchase or lease, depending on the needs of the end user. You can learn more about the purchase or lease options for these coaches at or by calling 408-427-6179.
