Board Game Library Opens in Indianapolis, IN

INDIANAPOLIS - Feb. 2, 2014 - PRLog -- June of 2013 the first board game library in the midwest opened in the historic Fountain Square district of Indianapolis.  When doors opened the library contained over 1000 unique board games.  Thanks to donations from manufacturers that number has risen to over 1300 unique titles and is still growing.

The inspiration for the library came from Victoria Bourne-Nisson, the owner of the library, hosting game nights with friends out of her home.  When the size of the group outgrew her home, it was clear that there was a market for a play space in her community.

Other similar libraries exist in Canada, Germany, and even California, but nothing quite like this exists in the midwest.

The library contains games for children as young as age 3, but focuses its attentions on a more adult audience, providing strategy and resource games that reach far beyond Monopoly.  Patrons can bring in outside food and beverages and make a day of the event, or can have other local business deliver food, hot and fresh, right to your table.

To patronize the library there is a daily charge of $12.50, however monthly and annual passes are also available.  The library is open from noon till 1am, Tuesday through Sunday, making it a great late night option for those who would rather skip the bar and club scene.
