MIDDLEBORO, MA, ISSUED FEBRUARY 3, 2014…Safer Places Inc., a firm providing pre-employment screening/background checks, tenant screening and security consulting,today announcedthe promotion of Brian C. Sawyer to Vice President.

In this post, Sawyer, the firm’s former Director of Sales and Marketing, will oversee all company operations, new business development and client relations in addition to maintaining an active role in sales and marketing.

Sawyer has more than six years of experience in the background screening and security consulting industry; prior to Safer Places, Inc. he was a District Manager for a national retail chain franchise.

Sawyer received a Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) Certification from the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS) and has taken courses at North Park University in Chicago and the New England Art Institute.

He is the founder and president of the non-profit organization Fuse Christian Concerts (www.FuseConcerts.org) volunteering his time with the Christian outreach ministry that produces concerts and festivals throughout New England.

Originally from Brockton, MA, Sawyer now makes his home in Taunton with his wife Andrea and their daughter.  In his spare time Sawyer plays volleyball in the Taunton Recreation Department league, has an active role in his place of worship and enjoys numerous activities with family.
