Ernie Williamson Music in Joplin, MO, Offers Support When Instruments Stolen from Local High Sc

The Riverton, Kansas, students who had the opportunity to play the Holiday Bowl late last December in San Diego, California, came home two saxophones short and were left unsure as to what the rest of the year held in store.
JOPLIN, Mo. - Jan. 31, 2014 - PRLog -- JOPLIN, MO,  January 31, 2014 – Two students had their saxophones stolen from their school bus the evening prior their performance but were able to perform the Holiday Bowl due to the generosity of fellow musicians; however, they were left without an instrument to play for upcoming games, shows and events at home.

As the students awaited insurance reimbursement from the hotel, Ernie Williamson Music representative, Gene Adam began the footwork to make sure the students had instruments to play in the meantime.

“You never know how long it might take to get all the paperwork through for the insurance claim,” said Adam. “We have been a long-time supporter of the Riverton High Band Department and knew right away we needed to do what we could to help.”

Adam said the saxophones were loaned to the school at no charge and were valued at $1200 each.
