Sip & Shop Bring a New Take on Shop Local / Shop Small in the Triad

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Jan. 30, 2014 - PRLog -- Sip & Shop is a  fabulous evening of shopping infused with  sweet sips, tasty nibbles, and exclusive shopping for the savvy and fashionable.  This venture is a partnership created by Lady Bizness, Inc. and My Sweet Skin in an effort to bring the Triad area a new twist on the Shop Local & Shop Small efforts generated by American Express' Small Business Saturday.

Sip and Shop is a monthly event held on the third Friday of the month at One17 SofaBar & Lounge, located at 117 N. Greene Street, Greensboro, NC 27401 from 8 pm - 11 pm.  The event is free to attend and caters women ages 18 and up.  Registration to attend can be found at http://sweetsipshop.eventbrite.com.


Chisa D. Pennix-Brown, MBA of Lady Bizness, Inc. advised, "The consumer and the exhibitors are both of concern. We want to make sure that attendees have a great time, but also spend money with the exhibitors which is why the event is free to attend." The goal of the event is to provide a platform for small businesses in the Triad area to showcase and sell their products in an environment that creates a great atmosphere to build relationships and focus on customer service.

Kenyatta Johnson of My Sweet Skin exclaims, " I have a small business and there are not enough consistent opportunities to showcase it in the Triad."  Bringing an event that averages 50-100 women on a monthly basis brings prosperity to the business community. Each month will feature a different theme with live demonstrations, full service bar, networking, photoshoot, and music for those that want to bring the party into their shopping.
