-- In the Hip Hop music arena, there are multitudes of MC’s and groups that come and go, while we look for that flash of brilliance to break the monotony of current trends. In 2014, YOUNG SAM is set to bring us that beam of light we’ve been hungry for with the recent release of his new music video, “Stop Actin” starring Young Sam Ft. Disko Boogie via the LA based label, GRIND TIL WE RICH RECORDS, INC. The music video which has already created an industry buzz and was directed by Hector Toro and James Bahman for TORO FILMS. This will be the first of music videos released before South Central’s rising star, YOUNG SAM, drops his debut album, "THE KING IS BACK" this spring.
Early in Young Sam's career, he became a vital part of a dance movement popular with the youth from all across the world known as “The Jerk Movement”. He created a mixture called “I’m On" and linked with DJ Crashd to let the world hear it. The tracks had the streets buzzing with dance, encouraging, feel good music. His music began to get hundreds of thousands of listeners. Sam’s independent grind has already taken him across the globe to several countries like England, Amsterdam, Germany, Holland and The Netherlands. 50,000 downloads on iTunes of his "Jerking Can’t Die" project and over 16 million YouTube views from his previous releases also landed him on BET’s “106 & Park” without the backing of a major label. In addition, his hard work earned him a deal with Fullscreen, YouTube’s parent company, as well as a paid sneaker endorsement contract with international footwear company, VLADO.
As word of mouth grows on the streets and in the industry about the new music video, upcoming album, GRIND TIL WE RICH RECORDS, INC., is now preparing a creative marketing/promotion/
internet campaign that will involve street promotion strategies in various markets, as well as seeking opportunities for YOUNG SAM to perform with celebrated rap and/or hip hop artists on scheduled music tours for 2014.
